We recently switched to this product - mostly because it has no corrosive properties and our previous products were causing significant damage. Having used it now for a few months, the staff LOVE it! They like the smell and even our customers have commented on how much better it smells.

We use this in our daycare and boarding kennel and couldnt be happier. The smell is non-evasive like Odoban or some of the other chemicals we've used. It doesn't leave a residue and we havent had any issues with it giving weird side effects to our dogs!

We are writing to all of our customers and distributor partners to provide our latest update regarding disinfecting agents for emerging pathogens.

We are pleased to announce that our disinfectants KennelSol® and KennelSol® HC, are both listed on the EPA’s List N https://www.epa.gov/pesticide‐registration/list‐n‐disinfectants‐use‐against‐sars‐cov‐2‐covid‐19 as meeting the EPA’s criteria for use against SARS‐CoV‐2, the virus that causes COVID‐19.

Both of these products qualify for emerging pathogen claims per the EPA’s “Guidance to Registrants: Process for Making Claims Against Emerging Viral Pathogens not on EPA‐Registered Disinfectant Labels.” Our EPA Stamped Master Labels have been updated accordingly in July of 2020.

KennelSol® and KennelSol® HC both meet the criteria to make claims against certain emerging viral pathogens from the following viral categories:

For an emerging viral pathogen that is a/an… …follow the directions for use for the following organisms on the label:
    Enveloped virus Feline Picornavirus
    Large, non‐enveloped virus Feline Picornavirus
    Small, non‐enveloped virus Canine Parvovirus

Accordingly, KennelSol® and KennelSol® HC have demonstrated effectiveness against viruses similar to SARS‐CoC‐2, the virus that causes COVID‐19, on hard, non‐porous surfaces. Therefore, KennelSol® and KennelSol® HC can be used against SARS‐CoV‐2 when used in accordance with the directions for use against Feline Picornavirus on hard, non‐porous surfaces. EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

A KennelSol sample provided by Alpha Tech Pet, Inc. was evaluated with the Corrositex® test method to determine its corrosive potential and to designate its Packing Group classification. The results of this study may be summarized as follows:

Sample Description Mean Corrositex® Time (minutes) Packing Group
    KS5987 >60 NC

    RESULTS

    IVI#: C3536 Corrositex Time (minutes)

    DISCUSSION

A KennelSol sample obtained from Alpha Tech Pet, Inc. was analyzed by the Corrositex method to determine its corrosive potential and Packing Group designation.

The results of this study indicated that KennelSol was compatible with the Corrositex system and was classified as a Category 2 material. The results obtained from the evaluation of four replicate samples were highly reproducible, demonstrating that a mean time of >60 minutes was required to destroy the synthetic biobarriers. These findings lead to the designation of KennelSol, as non corrosive.
